Sailz

I like the design on this toy - the raised middle with the hole makes it easy for Bodhi to grab onto from the ground. Unfortunately, it has not held up to his chewing, and is already ripped and damaged. This might be on us, leaving it around the house where he can use it as a chew toy, instead of a "fetch toy". The quality of the toy overall is good, but maybe isn't the best fit for us.

We bought this toy at a thrift store because our German Shepherd, Zeke, would destroy toys faster than we could buy them. Well, this has quickly become his favorite toy along with his Chuck-it ball. Zeke will play fetch until he drops dead! This Sailz disc is the best toy for the snow. He loses his Chuck-it balls in the snow, but this disc stays on top of the snow. When he’s tired of fetching, he lays and chews on it. It has zero holes or tears! He loves the “chewiness” of this toy! We have a large pond, and when Zeke is thirsty or hot he will run into the pond for a swim. This disc hasn’t sunk to the bottom of the pond! The only drawback is that it occasionally sails into a tree and we have to wait for the wind to dislodge it. So, we need 2! I can’t recommend this toy enough!

Our dog loved catching this flyer/disc. He’d even put his nose through the hole and toss it for himself. A couple of times he played tug with another dog using this toy and it must have gotten its first tear then. A couple more showed up later on. And today, while he was playing with it, one side ripped completely. He got a little more than a summer season out of it. (It was put away for the winter.) And he had never chewed it. Disappointing.
