Holiday Merchandising Inspiration
Here's a few simple, easy to-do idea starters as you begin to stock up and layout your shelves for the Holiday Season.
1. A Little Paper Tree.
Create a tree of ornaments with a wide variety of balls that West Paw carries. Make a tree using green construction paper or wrapping paper then place it over a peg wall and poke a random assortment of balls.
+ Wrap Some Empty Boxes.
1. Sort your best sellers under $25.
2. Arrange by Play Style.
(Light Play to Tough Chewers)
3. Or just have fun.
Small Dog—Big Dog,
Naughty vs. Nice,
Stocking Stuffers, etc.
2. Check it twice.
Arrange a space according to chew and play style. Perhaps the items on the “Naughty” list are toys built for rough playing and tough chewers, while the items on the nice list are more for light playing and moderate chewers. You could also consider the look of the toy. For example, a bone plush toy appears to be made for naughty dogs vs a teddy or a moose might seem to read better on the nice list. Then Separate your list with hand-made signs, ribbon, or even red and green wrapping paper behind each section that covers your peg wall.
3. Puppy in the window.
There's a Dog's Best Friend born every minute. People are always getting and gifting new puppies for the holidays. Be their one stop shop for everything puppy. This is a great opportunity to educate new owners on why dogs need toys, the importance of choosing the right toys and how to keep them engaged. Use this as an opportunity to talk about how having a bed for home and another for the car or crate can make life easier.
Don't Forget the Free Signs.
