Millie, my 9 week old minin-goldendoodle loves this toy. The best thing is the larger whole to place treats in. The kings are great but this fills the bill much easier for a young puppy. She still has to work getting the treats out but does not get frustrated by the size of the opening!! Her other favorite toy is the small puppy plush from West Paws! Thanks for such great products!
One of her favorites!

We have 2 of each size of the Toppi and our german short hair pointer puppy loves it! We add kibble, small treats, liver pieces, and cheese to the small one and it is her "treat ball." She is a big chewer and has not even dented it. She has difficulty holding bully sticks in her paws so I put 6" bully sticks through the small size and she can hold it easily! Wash it in the dishwasher and it is good to go!
Toppl--large and small

I bought our first Toppl in an Annapolis pet boutique on the advice of the very enthusiastic sales gal--she'd used it for her sweet-but-neurotic rescue lab who had severe separation anxiety, and a rotating supply of frozen Toppls had allowed her dog to calm down enough when she was away to realize that she did, indeed, come back. Our Anatolian/Pyrenees/Lab mix puppy was a little tough to keep entertained during a 6 week recovery from knee surgery, so I tried the idea on him, and we are both thrilled! We now own 2 large and one small, which means plenty of variations. Sometimes I just mix up a batch of whatever concoction I'm using and freeze the lot of them so there's always one ready to go. I'd love some ideas for healthy-but-appealing ingredient combos!

As a puppy it didn’t take our German shepherd long to figure out just how to bounce the large and small toppl to get them to come apart and spill treats. Then we began freezing a few pieces of kibble and some water in them. She loves that and it keeps her occupied a little longer. Once it’s empty she doesn’t play with it but returns it to us for a refill. She’s training us well.

We bought the large and small Toppl. Our dog (black lab, Bassett mix...you can't help but smile when you see him, he's an interesting looking dog!) figured out pretty quick how to get the two pieces apart to get to the treats. But he loves the Toppls...tosses them inow the air & chases them around. Durable, fun toys that are easy to clean.

We bought the large & small Toppl set for our 1 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, and he loves it! We put in a mix of small and medium treats and the toy occupies him longer than most other toys (he needs a good challenge). He also loves playing with just the large Toppl by itself too, and it's durable. They are also very easy to clean and wash off. Highly recommend!

We're still learning the best way to use this toy, but safe to say that our dog LOVES everything we purchased from West Paw. So very happy I was referred to your company!

Know what kind of toy works best for your dog before ordering toys and read the company's durability rating on toys. This is a nice toy for my smaller-sized dog who is not much of a chewer. It gives him some entertainment. It is made well and cleans up easily. I don't think anyone could honestly order this toy and expect it to be a Chinese treasure box or Rubik's cube-type toy for a dog (in reference another reviewer). This toy serves its purpose well. My dog enjoys it and that's the point.

I purchased a Toppl set (top & bottom) for my 1 year old, hard-chewing tweenie Doxie 15 months ago. He is still excited to play with it every single day - it has lasted! He did learn quickly (about 1 week) how to throw it around to open, and wedge his small bottom jaw into any part of the side hole on the smaller piece to pry the "top" off. But well over a year later we still use it nearly daily. He loves the way it bounces and he has never grown tired of awaiting the treats inside. We use carrot and apple pieces most often. I am pleased that he has not grown tired of this toy and it has physically held up. I do wish it took him a little longer to open (like it did the first week we added it to his play things). But, I am glad to still have a toy that gives him a little exercise and excitement every day I come home from work.
Good for older lickers.

We were looking at Kongs for our 13 1/2 year old Pitbull. He is in good health but has some dental issues so we didn't want anything too tough on his teeth and gums and didn't want anything too hard for our happy, lazy boy to enjoy. Instead we picked up just one side of the Toppl and filled it with one of his favorite healthy frozen treats. The shape is just right for him to lie down and hold it between his paws. Stuffing the treats into the wedges at the bottom allowed him to engage with it longer, which meant he also benefits from the cold feeling on his gums for a longer period of time, both from the frozen treat and from the Toppl itself having been in the freezer. The durability being "medium" means I never have to worry about his gums scraping, which is a relief for a pet whose first love is treats!
